The original owners, Albert “Bubba” Hurd and Perry Vaughn Sr. established A & P pest control in 1976.

Perry started in Pest Control in 1961 with Orkin and was promoted to supervisor within 3 years. He eventually took over the termite division, and worked for the company a total of 13 Years.

Bubba Started working for Orkin in April 1955 and they were not only co-workers but also best friends until Bubba passed away in 2000.

Perry eventually sold most of his business but continued to work part time.

He brought in his son-in-law, Charles Gurganus Sr. in 2004 to help with the pest control and fumigation services.

Charles bought the business from Perry in 2005. In 2011 Charles purchased Thompson Pest Control from Medrick Thompson who has also been in business for many years. Medrick continued working for Charles until he retired in September of 2013.

In April 2013 Charles “Charlie” Gurganus Jr. joined the family business.
